The cost of making Lasting Powers of Attorney will depend on the complexities required. Once we have details of your requirements we will be able to provide an accurate quote.
On average, to prepare one type of LPA (either for Health and Welfare or for Property and Financial Affairs) will cost £500 plus VAT and to prepare both Health and Welfare and Property and Financial Affairs LPAs for one person, will cost £750 plus VAT. If a couple wish to make both types of LPAs then the cost will be £1,000 plus VAT for all four documents.
In addition, the Office of the Public Guardian charge a fee of £82 to register each LPA. The LPAs cannot be used until they have been registered.
In order to comply with the Money Laundering Provisions, a charge of £30 plus VAT is made to verify the identity of each client.
