Claire has worked as a solicitor in private practice since qualifying in 1986. She undertakes construction disputes, intellectual property and infringement claims, asset recovery and emergency injunctions, warranty and professional negligence claims, Claire also advises directors, companies and financial institutions in connection with insolvency, contentious corporate, contract and employment issues.
She has conducted several contentious probate cases and represented clients in Court of Protection work. Increasingly her work covers a more diverse range as the litigation culture becomes more prevalent.
She is a member of the Society of Construction Law.
Claire also advises in the Maidenhead Citizens’ Advice Bureau with other local Solicitors who have organised a rota of volunteers to assist those who are otherwise unable to afford legal advice. Claire works closely with an established network of experts and Counsel who together offer a breadth of experience to clients, able to provide a rapid response for them, combined with a commercial approach to problem solving.
Claire researches and writes her own lecture materials in commercial litigation subjects and is a qualified practitioner in NLP.
She enjoys music, film, travel and watching her teenage son act in and direct theatrical productions. She speaks French and German.
